The Mama Gut is about the blend of my loves and my path through motherhood: about learning to trust my gut instinct to be a parent worthy of my great kids and working on my actual mama gut, restoring my core strength.
I am a mama to three wonderful kids (Mr.T and Miss L are in elementary school and Lil T is a toddler). I work as a yoga teacher and group fitness instructor in the greater Portland area in Oregon. I’m a Libra and a Minnesota girl in love with living in the Pacific Northwest. I left a full time lucrative career to go part-time at a non profit so I could pursue my loves: health/fitness, wellness/yoga and babies. Then, we moved to Oregon. Now, I teach, consult, parent, and … blog. In 2013, I went back to work full time for one year while still doing a little teaching, consulting, and blogging. And then, I left full-time (again) to go back to being mostly mom who part-time teaches yoga and fitness, and sometimes writes.
It’s also a place where I share my thoughts on being a mom, teaching yoga, empowerment in pregnancy and motherhood. The Mama Gut is my quest for strength and stability in my life and in my core. I will share Pregnancy, Birth, Postpartum, Parenting, Yoga and Wellness. Mostly it’s just me: my mamahood, mama gut instinct and powerful mama stories. Enjoy!
